Three Year / 36,000 Mile Limited Warranty Registration

Warranty:

Within three years or 36,000 miles of the original purchase, if the HercuLoc Secure Bed Cover fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship, Thacker Manufacturing, Inc. will have it repaired free of charge.  This warranty registration form must be completed, signed by the purchaser and returned to Thacker Manufacturing, Inc. to bring the warranty into effect.

Security Guarantee:

If, during the warranty period, a thief successfully jimmies the HercuLoc open from the closed and locked position, Thacker Manufacturing Inc. (TMI) will re-purchase the HercuLoc from the owner if he or she so desires. It is to be understood that the Contractor Series HercuLocs have lock cylinders and this warranty does not apply to lock cylinder break-ins. The owner must provide proof of the incident with a police report and photos.  TMI will refund the net FOB purchase price of the HercuLoc upon receiving prepaid shipment of the unit at TMI’s facility in Tucson, AZ.  Only the lift assembly will need to be shipped back, and it must be banded onto a 4’ x 8’ skid for LTL truck shipment.  This security guarantee only applies to HercuLoc units built since January 1, 2006; as indicated by the third and fourth digits of the serial number being “06” or higher.

Exclusions:

Because the installation is performed by independent shops or by the purchaser, this warranty does not cover issues resulting from improper installation.  The installation manual can be downloaded from www.herculoc.com as a PDF file.

The batteries in the remote transmitters are service parts and are not covered under the warranty.  Typically, these batteries will need replacement every 6-12 months depending on intensity of use.  One spare battery is provided with each HercuLoc.  Replacement batteries are available from most consumer electronics retailers.

Abuse, Misuse or Unauthorized Modifications Void the Warranty:

The HercuLoc Secure Bed Cover is not intended to be used as a work platform, place to stand or power lift.  People, animals and cargo must be kept off the top of the cover; it is not a weight-bearing structure.  The HercuLoc is not intended for use as a cargo clamp or trash compactor.  The actuator has a 20% duty cycle and will overheat and be damaged if it is abused by overuse.

Modifications or additions to the HercuLoc not specifically approved by Thacker Manufacturing, Inc. may void the warranty.  A particular safety concern is that anything attached to the top of the cover may not stay attached in a crash.  Such attachments could enter the pickup cab through the back window in a crash, causing serious injury or death.
