Surveyor’s Field Organizer:

Framed in ¾-inch square tubing, this organizer is built to last.  The sheet metal is 16-gauge galvanized steel with hemmed safe edges.  It weighs about 245 pounds.  The lower center bays are 74-inches deep, so you can stow your tripods at their instrument height.  The lower outer bays are 60-inches deep for your magnetic locators, shovel, etc.  With the tailgate closed, a five-gallon water jug is captured in either rear corner of the pickup bed.  When installed in a long bed pickup, the organizer leaves the front 22-inches of the bed open to stow traffic cones and instruments.

This organizer is lighter than most wooden organizers and is intended to last 20 years.  You can hose your truck out with the organizer still in the bed.
