A 50% down payment is required before orders are shipped. Installation is a two hour job (the first installation, while learning how, will take 3-4 hours). We have arranged with independent auto repair shops in many cities to install HercuLocs. If you are in a city where such arrangements have not been made, we will ask for your recommendation. You also have the option of installing the HercuLoc yourself. The installation manual is posted under Installation as a PDF file. Freight can be prepaid at our dock. We have excellent outbound rates with some of the trucking companies. One electric HercuLoc ships in a large, heavy-duty crate weighing 530 pounds. Surveyors’ Field Organizers ship one or two per 40” x 48” skid. A forklift with extensions is the best way to unload a HercuLoc. If a forklift is not available at the destination, we will have to arrange for liftgate service with the trucking company. Call or email us for a freight quote. Lead times: We usually ship 2-4 weeks after receipt of order. Upfitting Credits: GM, Ford and Dodge usually offer commercial work truck upfitting credits on new pickups. The programs vary over time and regions; they will usually pay $300 to $500 toward the cost of our goods. Many dealer sales personnel are not aware of this and you may have to ask a fleet sales manager. Usually, we bill our goods to the dealer or leasing company, who then rolls them into the truck deal. The benefits are that you can finance our goods along with the truck; the truck is work-ready when you take possession, and you have only one asset to track in your books (not a truck plus a HercuLoc plus a surveyor’s field organizer). Volume Discount: Our volume discount is 5% off for multiples of five HercuLocs per order. Cover Colors: Covers are powder coat painted with UV-resistant Cardinal Industrial Finishes.
